Model 520 Slurry Analyzer

The Model 520 Slurry Analyzer measures ash and density of coal as it is conveyed through piping.

The device consists of a source and detector assembly attached to a pipe, where it performs no-contact non-destructive analysis in real-time as the material flows through. The detector is connected to an electronics enclosure housing an industrial computer which processes the detector signals and displays the measured results to the operator.

The Analyzer generates measurements every three seconds and averages the readings to produce ash and density values every minute. These values are made available to plant control systems through direct access to the system database or through analog and digital outputs provided with the system. The data can be used to track and record material quality.
